Privacy

WishWhisper is a small, private site for a circle of friends. It stores only what it needs to work.

What we store

• Your Google account e-mail address (to recognise you at sign-in; never shown to other members)
• Your nickname
• Your profile picture, if you upload one (shown only to signed-in members; deleted with your account)
• Your ratings (signed-in members see who rated what, with nickname, picture and level; visitors see only the average)
• Your wishlist and shopping list
• Your comments
• Your Mix Suggestions

We do not store your Google password, profile picture or contacts. Other members only ever see the group average of the ratings, never your individual stars.

Cookies

The site itself sets one cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is set only when you start signing in, is never readable by scripts, and is sent only over HTTPS.

Google Analytics sets its own analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to count visits and tell returning visitors apart. Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies (such as _clck, _clsk and MUID) for the same purpose. There are no advertising cookies.

Deleting your account

You can ask an admin to delete your account at any time. Your e-mail address, nickname, profile picture, lists and progress are then deleted. Ratings, comments and Mix Suggestions stay published so the group's opinions remain intact, but they are shown under “Former member” and are no longer linked to you.

Visitor statistics

Page views are counted with Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that sets no cookies and stores no personal data. It is served from analytics.synthetixmind.com, which receives your browser's usual request data when a page loads.

We also use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited). It receives your browser's request data, the pages you visit and the cookies named above, and may process this data outside the EU.

We also use Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to understand how the site is used. It records how you move, scroll and click on a page, receives your browser's request data and the cookies named above, and may process this data outside the EU.

Product images

Product images are loaded from bolero.de's image host (cdn.shopify.com), which receives your browser's usual request data when it displays them.
